Tuesday Lessons: Beginners Part II
Lessons will cover common conventions the modern duplicate player needs to know - Stayman, Jacoby Transfers, Negative Doubles, and Forcing Raises - as well as focus on basic defensive conventions and plays. Cost is $95 for eight lessons. The class will meet Tuesday evenings at 7 pm for eight weeks beginning January 17.
Saturday Lessons: Bidding In Competition
Lessons will cover actions both when we open the bidding and they intervene; and when the opponents open the bidding and we intervene. Specifics will include:
Overcalls and Responses Doubles and Redoubles Balancing Cuebids Fitting Jumps And More!
Saturday lessons will begin January 22 and will meet every other Saturday (more or less -- the tournament schedule may dictate changes; exact dates will be announced) at 10 am and run until noon. The fee is $95 for the eight lessons or $15 for individual lessons.
Sunday Workshops
March 25 – $25 includes Lesson, Lunch, and a Sanctioned Game
Join us for our next Sunday Workshop - The Engineer Bill Workshop. Learn the differences between "Red Light" and "Green Light" (not to mention "Yellow Light") bids. The workshop begins at 10:30; we will break for lunch about 12:30, and hold a game after lunch. Cost for the day -- lesson, lunch and a game -- is $25.
